Richard Wood

Richard has had an extensive corporate finance background with roles including:

• Chief Financial Officer for an Australian private equity firm
• NZ Manager for a boutique investment bank
• Group Treasurer of a listed electricity distribution company

In these roles, Richard was responsible for a number of innovative and market leading transactions including arranging, financing and structuring various large M&A transactions across a number of sectors.

Richard has significant sector experience in the NZ education sector, having lead a number of significant M&A transactions with Private Training Enterprises, including the rollup of a number of PTEs to form the group Aspire2 limited.

Richard holds a number of directorships and is a Trustee on a number of charitable trusts, including the North Shore Events Centre Trust Board. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Treasury Professional.
